ConstructionSkills, the Sector Skills Council for the construction industry has launched this quarterly Skills Update to inform and engage employers, Federations, Government and its agencies in the work it’s undertaking to deliver its Sector Skills Agreement.
The electronic update, which replaces an earlier hard copy, is now available and anyone interested can register online. Subscribers will read about the latest news from ConstructionSkills and discover how their own organisations can get involved in responding to the skills challenges faced by today’s construction industry.
Nicola Thompson, Director of Communications, explains: “Many of our products and services are now available online, for instance, we are delivering Construction Skills Network forecasting data to peoples’ desktops via the ConstructionSkills website. We wanted to deliver our key messages in a similar way and make the best use of this technology to get individuals, organisations and businesses more involved in what we’re doing. The Skills Update is designed to bring our successes and our challenges to life.”
In the future, ConstructionSkills plans to tailor the Skills Update to different target audiences, to ensure that subscribers are receiving the information that’s most relevant to them.
