Centre for Education in the Built Environment

The Centre for Education in the Built Environment (CEBE) identifies industry/Higher Education engagement as a major issue that shapes its activities. Since its establishment in 2003 ACBEE (Accelerating Change in Built Environment Education) has sought to encourage improved dialogue between industry, universities and professional bodies with a view to shaping more relevant educational provision for the future of the built environment (www.acbee.org). ACBEE highlights a series of best practice case studies where industry engagement with HEI's is clearly demonstrated. Information on the aims and objectives of the project along with details of all the submitted stdues can be found at www.cebe.heacademy.ac.uk/learning/acbee/index.php

A questionnaire aims to build upon preliminary work undertaken in workshops and consultations with key stakeholders and to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for industry/HEI engagement in the built environment. We are seeking your input into the further development of KPI's and would ask that you take the opportunity to view and complete the brief at http://146.87.176.6/cebe/.

Feedback from this activity will be disseminated in the 3rd Annual ACBEE Report and at forthcoming Built Environment Education Conference, September 12/13 London. www.cebe.heacademy.ac.uk/news/events/beecon2006/index.php
